Shakira’s knowledge of belly dancing came in handy throughout her career as a singer and stage performer, as she is known for her sensuous moves and beautiful voice. The Colombian-born pop star was already a household name in the Latin music scene when she released her first English album in 2001 called Laundry Service, which was a massive hit.

Besides a steady income from her music, endorsements, appearances and performances, Shakira was also a judge on the reality singing show The Voice for 2 seasons. If reports are to be believed, she took home $12 million for each season she starred in. Shakira had also signed a $300 million deal with Live Nation, an entertainment venue company.
