Sandie Shaw – Born in 1947

Known as the “barefoot pop princess,” Sandie Shaw became a defining voice of the 1960s. With hits like (There’s) Always Something There to Remind Me and Puppet on a String—the latter winning Eurovision in 1967—she embodied the youthful, modern spirit of the era.
