Lulu – Born in 1948

From teenage pop star to enduring showbiz dynamo, Lulu has been entertaining audiences for more than 60 years. She burst onto the charts in 1964 with Shout, and went on to win Eurovision in 1969 with Boom Bang-a-Bang. Her distinctive voice and irrepressible energy made her one of Britain’s most beloved singers.

Her career has embraced television presenting, acting (To Sir, with Love), and collaborations with artists from David Bowie to Take That. Even today, Lulu remains a powerhouse performer, her voice as vibrant as ever and her spirit as infectious as when she first burst onto the scene.
