Sam Worthington – Born in 1976
Sam grew up near Perth and was trained in acting at NIDA before he bagged his first ever Australian TV and movie role, with of his of earliest successes being 2003’s Gettin’ Square. Perhaps the Hollywood movie that catapulted him to stardom was the 2009 James Cameron directed blockbuster Avatar and he had finally made it as one of the most famous Aussie actors around. However, unlike his contemporaries, Sam chose to return to Australia with his wife, and now lives here with their two kids.
