Sharon Gless
Sharon Gless was ruling television in the 80s, as one-half of the female crime fighting duo, playing the role of Sgt. Christine Cagney in the TV show Cagney & Lacey. The show helped break down stereotypes around female cops and set the stage for other police dramas on TV which came later.
Gless later starred in TV’s Switch and the 2018 show Casualty. She is now in her 70s, but she is not ready to quit her job and retire. Her talents also shone on stage and she starred in several theater productions and she is associated with Los Angeles Student Film Institute as an advisory board member.
