Sade

The 80s were a wild time in British history and Sade (real name Helen Adu) was on the rise. She started out as a fashion designer, while moonlighting as a model but she gained wild recognition as a singer and performer when she founded her band Pride. Some of her hits include ‘Smooth Operator’ and ‘Your Love Is King.’

Unlike any of her contemporaries, Sade did not want to bask in her fame, and chose to keep a low profile. She appeared in public from time to time, usually when she dropped a new album, but would then disappear and lay low. One thing is for sure that every time we see her, we are certain that time cannot dull her beauty and poise.
