Charo
When Charo first appeared on television because of Johnny Carson’s show, the renowned talent agent Norman Brokaw wanted to sign her. Brokaw was the one who made Marilyn Monroe a star. However, the agent had one condition – she couldn’t use just one stage name, that being Charo, and she needed a surname, too.
The singer insisted and she won, hence she’s now recognized as Charo, actress, singer and Las Vegas star. Charo has retained her hair color and hairstyle over the years, as well as her colorful fashion sense, even now when she’s almost in her 70s.
