Small town belle and former “Toddler” beauty pageant contestant Alana Thompson is better known as Honey Boo Boo from the reality shows Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and Toddlers & Tiaras. She has always been a cherub and cute girl for as long as we have seen her on TV.
But after her mother, Mama June, lost 300 pounds with lap band surgery, Alana was motivated to drop some pounds, too. Following a diet that cut out grease and soda, the young teen managed to lose 5 pounds and plans to keep going until she’s at a healthy weight for her age. We are so happy for you, Alana!
Jimmy Kimmel: 5:2 Diet
Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live, has always been a foodie and had admitted that he had never weighed himself before 2010, when he bought himself a scale and checked that he weighed 208 pounds. That’s when he decided that things needed to change.
He lost the first 25 pounds with a strict diet of consuming only 2000 calories per day, which gave quick results. Jimmy then discovered the famed 5:2 diet involving intermittent fasting where he ate anything 5 days a week, but the rest of the 2 days; he had a 500 calorie per day diet that included coffee, pickles, egg whites and oatmeal.
