A constant hero in the body positivity movement is singer and The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson, and that’s why it surprised her fans when she lost 37 pounds in 2018. But the weight loss was the result of Kelly making lifestyle changes to treat her thyroid issues and autoimmune disease, which made her weight fluctuate in the past.
Kelly discovered a book written by Steven R. Gundry called The Plant Paradox and followed his advice. In it, Dr. Gundry talks about a lectin-free diet, as this plant-based protein in vegetables likes beans, whole wheat and legumes causes inflammation in the body, which is best avoided by people with autoimmune diseases.
