Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham – ~ 34 Years, Avoiding marriage and Invest in Your Relationship Instead
Two huge things happened in actress and media mogul Oprah Winfrey’s life in 1986. First, she launched her talkshow The Oprah Winfrey Show, that ran for 25 years and she also met her long time partner Stedman Graham at a charity event at Chicago. They were even briefly engaged in 1992, but chose never to get married.
Not exchanging vows, Oprah says, is what has kept her relationship strong with her partner of 34 years and she does not regret forgoing the “Mrs. Graham” tag. But she feels like a mom to Stedman’s daughter from his previous marriage. So here’s to the couple that does not need a “marriage license” to show each other love and devotion.
