The New Avengers and Absolutely Fabulous actress Joanna Lumley had heard of her second husband, Stephen Barlow, through family friends, when she was 21 and pregnant and he was just 13. The British actress and the famous opera conductor would finally meet many years later at a friend’s wedding where he was performing.
Since Barlow was married at the time, Joanna and he only sent each other the customary Christmas cards over the years, but he finally asked to meet. After some wine and lots of talking, they gradually they fell in love. The couple got married in 1986 after Barlow’s divorce was finalized and they have been together ever since
