Elton John and David Furnish – ~ 27 Years, Be Independent Entities
By becoming one of the first domestic couples to wed when same-gender marriages were declared legal in Britain in 2014, singer Sir Elton John and his partner, Canadian filmmaker David Furnish made history. The two had met at the singer’s home in Windsor, England back in 1993 when John threw a party to meet new people, not from his regular circle.
It was a case of instant attraction between Elton and David at the party and David returned the next day for a proper date and dinner. In 2010 and 2013, the couple welcomed their two kids via a surrogate and their family was complete. This, after John had once made up his mind about not having any kids!
