Pauline Collins and John Alderton – ~ 51 Years, Working with Your Spouse Brings You Closer
British actress Pauline Collins is best known for playing Sarah Moffat in the beloved TV show Upstairs, Downstairs and for portraying the title role in the stage version and movie adaptation of Shirley Valentine. She is married to fellow actor and Mrs Caldicot’s Cabbage War co-star John Alderton and they have been together for 51 years now.
This is John’s second marriage, as he was previously married to actress Jill Browne. Right after his divorce came through in 1969, he married Pauline. They live in Hampstead, London now, and have three grown up kids and John is stepdad to Pauline’s older daughter from a previous relationship.
