This was after his first marriage had ended and he was going through a difficult time personally.
The Inception actor figured out her phone and asked her out on a date 8 times before she finally said yes. After a few drinks together, he fell in love with her in 8 minutes while it took her 2 hours. Nevertheless, their first date was very successful, as they married 2 years later in 1973. Even after 46 years, dates are important for the two, and it’s a tradition they follow even today.
