A Strange Medical Condition

Phantom Pregnancy or pseudocyesis is actually a very rare phenomena wherein a lady mentally convinces her body that she is pregnant, even when she isn’t actually. In layman terms, she actually wills herself to display signs of pregnancy.

So in a phantom pregnancy, a woman will display all the signs and symptoms of a regular pregnancy, just that there is no baby or babies in her womb. The exact cause of this condition is not known but it usually happens to women who have an extreme desire to have kids, and somehow “trick” their body into thinking that they actually conceived.
