A nurse, who should have been inside the doctor’s office helping with the delivery was now approaching Paul with a weird look on her face. It’s as if she was trying to forewarn him about what she was about to say which would shatter his world.
As the events would unfold later, Paul would understand exactly what that look on the nurses face was. It was the look of stark confusion. Paul wondered why a professional nurse, with so many years of birthing experience, would examine his girlfriend and feel perplexed!
