Is Abel Ferrara Okay?

Abel Ferrara is an American filmmaker who has directed Kings of New York and Bad Lieutenant. When called to be guests go on talk shows, one would expect celebs to turn up sober, but when Abel appeared on Conan’s show, something was clearly off. He was slurring his words — so much so that Conan suggested that there be subtitles for whatever he was saying! When he asked Abel if he had shown up drunk, the guest says no and tries to leave the studio! Conan said that Ferrara was one of the worst guests on his show, but many years later, he came back to his new talk show, and that interview went off well.
