24. Greece
Greeceās military is called the Hellenic Armed Forces and it comprises of the Hellenic Army, the Navy, and the Air Force, under the civilian authority of The Ministry of National Defence, Greece. Under the present Greek Law, all men have to serve for 9-12 months in the armed forces when they turn 18, whereas women can join the military voluntarily. In 2018, there were approximately 105,000 serving personnel in the country. Greece is both a member of the NATO and the EU and regularly sends its men and women for peacekeeping operations around the globe.
