Lionel Ritchie’s Adopted Daughter, Nicole Ritchie – Fashion Designer and Entrepreneur

Here’s an adoption story that is surprisingly unique. Legendary singer Lionel Ritchie first met Nicole at a Prince concert when she was 4 years old. You see, Nicole’s biological father, Peter Escovedo, was a musician who toured with Lionel briefly. When Nicole turned 9, Peter and his wife agreed to let her stay with the Ritchies as they were not doing well financially.

A year or so later, Lionel would legally adopt Nicole with her biological parents’ blessings.
