Emma Thompson’s Unofficially Adopted Son, Tindyebwa Agaba Wise – Human Rights Activist and Social Worker

Everyone is acquainted with British Actress Emma Thomson’s daughter, but not many people know that the Harry Potter actress and her husband have a son, Tindyebwa Agaba Wise or Tindy, who they unofficially adopted. Tindy was a refugee and a former child soldier from his home country of Rwanda.

Tindy’s father passed away from AIDS, his mother and sisters were abducted and he himself was kidnapped and trained to be a child soldier during the Rwandan genocide, until he escaped and became a refugee in UK. After Emma adopted him, he became a UK citizen, earned a degree in Politics from University of Exeter and now helps more people like him.
