Glynis Johns – Born in 1923
Glynis Johns received an Oscar nomination for her performance in the 1960 movie The Sundowners, but she is most recognized for her role as Winifred Banks in the Walt Disney movie Mary Poppins. She also earned a Tony for writing the character of Desiree Armfeldt in A Little Night Music on Broadway, for which she got much praise. Johns became the oldest living member of the 1966 film Batman’s “guest villain” ensemble following Zsa Zsa Gabor’s passing in 2016. She last made an appearance in the movie While You Were Sleeping, a 1995 romance starring Sandra Bullock, and Superstar, a 1999 comedy starring Will Ferrell.
