Lee Meriwether – Born in 1935
Lee Meriwether has had a successful, nearly six-decade long career playing career encompassing theatre, television, and film appearances. Despite being a reluctant beauty queen (she was named Miss America in 1955! ), she maintains her modesty. The stage, where Meriwether still performs, is her first passion. She may be most remembered for her Emmy/Golden Globe-nominated performance as “Betty” in television’s Barnaby Jones, as well as her portrayal of “Catwoman” in the 1966 film Batman. Meriwether currently resides in Los Angeles with her playwright/actor husband Marshall Borden.
