Susan Saint James – Born in 1946
Susan Saint James gained fame as the leading star of the 1980s comedy series Kate and Allie. She is most notably recognized for her portrayal as Rock Hudson’s spouse in McMillan and Wife, as well as her depiction of Peggy Maxwell in the television series Name of the Game during the late 1960s, which earned her an Emmy Award. Her achievements also include participation in various motion pictures. Her exceptional contributions led to the unveiling of her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2008. After the conclusion of Kate & Allie, Saint James retired in her mid-40s. Apart from her role as a mother, she actively engaged as a volunteer with the Special Olympics, even serving on its board. Occasionally breaking her retirement, Saint James made appearances in television series as a guest, including The Drew Carey Show and an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
