Caren Marsh Doll – Born in 1919
Caren Marsh Doll was Judy Garland’s dance stand-in for the first The Wizard of Oz and for Ziegfeld Girl because of her skill in modern dance and tap. She continued acting in movies like Navajo Kid and Secrets of a Sorority Girl. Caren Marsh-Doll avoided losing a foot as a result of a terrible injury which she sustained after surviving the Standard Airlines C-46 disaster on July 12, 1949, in Chatsworth, in which 35 people perished. But she persisted, improved herself, and kept dancing!
