John Eales – Born in 1970

Considered by many to be the greatest rugby player ever, Australian player John Eales stands at 6 feet 7 inches and was known for his strength, kicking abilities and skills to dominate the rugby field. His rise to global rugby fame began in 1991 during his debut match against Wales. In 1996, John became the captain of the Australian national rugby team, known as the Wallabies. He would retire in 2001 and donned several roles after that, becoming a businessman, sports ambassador, mentor, author and he even occasionally teaches at the University of Note Dame.
