Missy Higgins – Born in 1983
Pixie-faced singer-songwriter Missy Higgins grew up being surrounded by music and it was no shocker that she decided to become a musician herself. Usually, her songs are filled with lyrics of troubled romance, angst with a little bit of hope, which always appeals to listeners. While she is quite the sensation here at home, her first two albums were very well received in the US, too. Initially, after 7 years of breaking into the music scene, the ‘Arrow Through the Heart’ singer took a long hiatus to earn a degree in Indigenous Studies, but she’s back to making albums and touring the country, and she even acted in her debut movie, Bran Nue Dae.
