Sean Connery – Royal Navy
Before Sean Connery became the first James Bond icon to grace our screens, he was part of the Royal Navy. Connery joined the Navy when he was just 16 years old in 1946. He received a discharge from the Navy in 1949 due to his history with duodenal ulcers.
Connery pocked up off jobs on his climb to fame, and one point he even worked as a lorry driver and a coffin polisher. The ’50s marked his breakthrough in the entertainment industry. Connery eventually retired from acting in 2007.
