Ruth Westheimer – Haganah

Ruth Westheimer is a well-known intimacy specialist who might have been a deadly sniper if she had chosen a different path in life. Westheimer joined the Jewish paramilitary organization Haganah while in Jerusalem. Her diminutive height saw her assigned to train as a sniper and scout.

Westheimer explained that she never killed anyone, but she asserted that she is skilled at shooting and throwing hand grenades. In 1948, amid the Palestine war that took place between 1947 to 1949, Westheimer sustained a serious injury from an exploding shell. It was months before Westheimer could walk again.
