Mr.T – Military Police Corps

Retired professional wrestler Lawrence Tureaud, who goes by Mr. T, served with the Military Police Corps branch of the U.S. Army. He enlisted after his expulsion from the Prairie View A&M University, where he was majoring in mathematics on a football scholarship.

Following his discharge, he tried joining the National Football League, but he didn’t make it through the Green Bay Packers tryouts. He took up work as a club bouncer, which soon transformed into a career as a bodyguard to the stars for nearly ten years. It wasn’t long before he was wrestling, acting, and featuring in a long list of commercials.
