1973 – Margie Moran from The Philippines

Miss Universe 1973 was Margie Moran, from The Philippines, and she was the second Filipina to earn this honor. After discharging her duties for a year, she went back to school and earned degrees in business and development management. She would become the President of Ballet Philippines and served the Cultural Centre of the Philippines as their Chairperson. She also became an ambassador-trustee at the Habitat for Humanity Philippines and continued her charity work. She married a politician, had two daughters, but ended up separating from her husband.
