Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi – ~ 16 Years, Find your Soulmate and Marry Them

Ellen DeGeneres, who has always had a successful career on TV as a comedienne, actress and talk show host, had not been very lucky when it came to her love life. After a few heartbreaks, she managed to meet her soul mate, Australian actress Portia de Rossi (Ally McBeal, Arrested Development) at a VH1 Awards ceremony, and began dating not long after.

While Ellen had already come out of the closet, Portia came out much later. After exchanging diamond engagement rings in 2008, they got hitched the same year and even though there were a couple of divorce scares, Portia and Ellen are still together. Ellen, on her show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, said she sometimes  wishes that she had kids, but does not regret the decision of being childless.
