Octopi are born recyclers

How many times have we heard the slogan ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ and how many times have we ignored it? But those who do care about the planet have an unlikely ally — the humble octopus. They are avid recyclers and put their tentacles to good use reusing coconut shells, glass bottles and containers to make temporary homes for themselves, for shelter and protection. Like they say, one man’s trash is another octopus’ treasure! We sure can learn a thing or two from these thrifty creatures.
