Death at a TV Show
In a tragic incident that took place during a 1971 taping of The Dick Cavett Show, agriculturist and septuagenarian health expert Jerome Rodale was on the show to speak about the benefits of unorthodox health tips, such as eating urine-soaked asparagus. When Dick moved on to the next guest, Rodale slumped his head back and seemed to be asleep. It soon became clear that something was wrong, and he was taken out on a stretcher as he was unresponsive and later, died of a heart attack. The episode was on tape by never aired for obvious reasons.
