21. Algeria
People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria’s official, military force is called the APNA or The Algerian People’s National Army, along with their Navy and Air Force. All Algerian nationals have to compulsorily serve in it for at least 12 months. Their commander is the President of the country and all citizens of the country have to serve in the military for 12 months after they turn 19. Their current armed forces was established during the Algerian War of Independence when they were fighting to rid the French colonizers from their country.
