17. Poland
Poland has a larger number of tanks and an impressive submarine fleet to boot. In the recent years, they have drastically increased its military spending and military strength in reaction to Russia’s recent actions in Crimea and the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Poland spends around 4% of its GDP on its defense forces, around $13.71 billion! They also plan to expand and induct 300K personnel and 500,000 reserve forces. Their military strength is divided into Land forces, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and the Territorial Defence Force which are all governed by the Ministry of National Defence.
