First the Ships, now the Planes
What you’re looking at is not the parking lot for planes, rather it is a graveyard for airplanes that are no longer used by the US military as they are not in active service anymore. Tucson’s Davis-Monthan Air Force Boneyard is the biggest defense aircraft boneyard in the world and it is not open to the general public. However, this drone shot shows but a small portion of the aircrafts that lie there. Some of these machines will be stripped, scrapped and sold, others are kept as reserves, and some are sent there for repairs.
