Donna Loren – Born in 1947
During the 1960s, Donna Loren flourished as a performer. She gained fame as the Dr. Pepper Girl from 1963 to 1968 and was a featured vocalist on Shindig. Her stardom extended to the Beach Party movie franchise by American International Pictures. Signing with Capitol Records in 1964, the actress-singer released numerous singles and the Beach Blanket Bingo LP soundtrack, highlighted by her signature song It Only Hurts When I Cry. After a 1968 retirement start a family, Loren resurfaced in the 1980s, recording songs again and operating her own fashion brand ADASA Hawaii. The star’s most recent venture was the podcast Love’s A Secret Weapon in 2020, chronicling her journey.
