Montel Williams – U.S. Marines
When he had just finished school in 1974, Montel Williams enlisted to join the U.S. Marines. Williams went through training at the Naval Academy Preparatory School for one year, and he later started a four-year program training to be an officer at the Naval Academy.
In 1980, Williams graduated with a general engineering degree, and he also completed training to become a Cryptologic Officer. Williams spent 18 months working as a cryptologic office stationed in Guam, and he soon rose to a supervising role. When he left the Marines, Williams had become a Lieutenant Commander.
