Tom Selleck – California National Guard

Perhaps it isn’t by chance that Tom Selleck gravitates towards roles that have him portraying a veteran U.S Navy Officer (Magnum P.I.) or members of law enforcement. Selleck responded to a draft notice from the California National Guard during the Vietnam War. Between 1967 and 1973, Selleck was part of the 160th Infantry Regiment.

He serves as a spokesman for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. Up until 2018, Selleck was part of the National Rifle Association board of directors, and he also served as a spokesman for the organization.
