Morgan Freeman – U.S. Air Force

In 1955, Jackson Syaye University offered Morgan Freeman a partial scholarship to study drama. Freeman turned it down, choosing instead to join the U.S. Air Force. In the four years he served with the army, Freeman became an Airman 1st Class.

Freeman took dancing and acting classes after his discharge. His meteoric rise to fame started on stage, and soon, he landed a role in the PBS soap, Another World. It wasn’t long before he won the Best Supporting nod from the Academy Awards. Recently, we saw Feeman in the 2019 action thriller, Angel Has Fallen.
