Chuck Norris – U.S. Air Force
Carlos Ray Norris had just completed high school in 1958 when he decided to join the U.S. Air Force. These days we know him better as Chuck Norris, but long before he was gracing our screens as an action movie star, he was an Air Force policeman.
Norris served at the Osan Air Base located in South Korea, and that was the place that he earned the nickname Chuck. That was where Norris also learned the martial art of Tang Soo Do, and he later founded the hybrid system Chun Kuk Do. When Norris returned to California, he continued working as an AP before his official discharge in 1962.
