Missy Elliott: Exercising and Giving up Soda and Bread

Unlike other celebs who usually lose weight only to look a certain way, Missy Elliott, the ‘Get Ur Freak On’ crooner did so purely for health reasons. After she gained a lot of weight due to Graves’ Diseases affecting her thyroid, she decided to control it with diet and exercise.

Missy gave up eating bread and drinking sugary sodas, even though she admitted how hard it was for her. She was not much of a “water-drinker” but started noticing the change soon after giving up soda. Regular exercising also worked wonders for Missy.
